I could not recommend MPR Events more. For my college graduation, Marie curated such an amazing celebration. Madison Social was the perfect venue to accommodate the number of guests while still remaining intimate. Marie struck a great balance of using her own expertise while always being considerate of my opinion during the planning process. We had a private room that was decorated beautifully and festively. The food was delicious with amazing service. They also had a tech set up available to play music and even a special video as well. Meet our MPR Events, LLC Family

Marie Plummer-Riou, Owner & CEO

Marie is the owner, operator, face and essence of MPR Events. She and her oldest twin daughter, Lisa established MPR Events , LLC in 2021, after Marie’s decades of passionate event planning experience within church groups, friends, family, and local organizations. Marie raised her twin daughters, Lisa and Laura, in Tallahassee, FL as a single mother, guiding them through hospitality and customer service work from the time they could walk in the early 90’s. Now, in 2026, after MPR Events, LLC has quietly continued coordinating special occasions in the community, Marie, her daughter Laura and oldest granddaughter, are continuing the legacy Marie established, with elevated event planning and elegant design services. Anyone who knows Marie, knows that she has a heart for service, and a deep desire to honor others in a way that makes them feel seen and understood. MPR Events, LLC is expanding to serve and connect the great people of Tallahassee, FL.

Juliana (Junior Design Intern and Marie's oldest Granddaughter)

Juliana is the eldest granddaughter of Marie, and eldest daughter of Laura. Juliana comes prepared with a beautiful smile and full knowledge of the event flow, equipping her to serve where she is needed in the areas of hosting, decorating, day-of event greeting, and cleaning assistance. MPR Events, LLC is continuing the legacy of raising well-mannered, kind, hard-working children that have a bright future in entrepreneurship.

Laura McCloud, Creative & Marketing Director

Laura is the second-born twin daughter of Marie. Like her Mom, she is devoted to providing optimal client service as she assists in managing MPR Events, LLC online operations, and oversees the business model, as well as design execution. Laura has a strong background in hospitality, customer service and healthcare, and is known to roll up her sleeves for the work in front of her.

Lisa (Founder and Advisor, Marie's Daughter)

Lisa Irving, Founder & Advisor

Lisa, is the first-born twin daughter of Marie. She played a significant roll in the start-up and structure of MPR Events, LLC. Like her Mom, when it comes to special events, Lisa sets the standard high for quality and precision. Her expertise in writing, editing and creative endeavors have made her a wonderful asset to the business. Lisa continues to be a trusted advisor and supportive member of the MPR Events, LLC family.
